María Rosa Cárdenas Tomažič, is a geographer from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and works as an Associate Programme Specialist for the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO).
Since the beginning of 2004 she has been working at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, France where she has worked on projects related to the management of UNESCO sites (Biosphere Reserves and World Heritage) using space technologies. Since 2012 he has been working in the Man and the Biosphere Programme Secretariat where she coordinates the activities of the Ibero-American and Caribbean Network of MAB Committees and Biosphere Reserves (IberoMAB) and actions linked to MAB Youth.
