Short description of the project:

ILUCIDARE is a 36 months project, funded by the EU programme for research and innovation Horizon 2020, which started in December 2018. The main goal of ILUCIDARE is to promote and leverage cultural heritage-led innovation and diplomacy through the creation and activation of an international community of cultural heritage practitioners.  T

he project will maintain the legacy of the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018 and will strongly contribute to the overall objectives of the EU strategy for international cultural relations as well as of EU international cooperation in research and innovation.  ILUCIDARE aims to: (i) map effective heritage-led innovation and diplomacy strategies and tools, (ii) share knowledge through training and capacity building activities, and interactive learning opportunities, (iii) engage with international stakeholders and practitioners through face-to-face activities and international awards.

Liaison with RURITAGE:

A joint high-level event between RURITAGE, ROCK, ILUCIDARE and CLIC projects – called the ILUCIDARE Playground Conference – took place on 20 November 2019 in Brussels to combine the findings and networks of these projects – and thus leverage the outcomes to a higher level and wider public. The main findings of the event are available here. During the same week several other relevant activities took place in Brussels organized by ILUCIDARE and CLIC and to which representatives from other H2020 projects, including RURITAGE, actively participated (e.g. focus group, co-creation ateliers, Breakfast and Sustainability, Laboratory of Transdisciplinary).

RURITAGE and ILUCIDARE exchanged social media accounts to be regularly updated about new project results and upcoming activities of mutual interest.

Further networking activities will be developed.
