The Natural History Museum of the Lesvos Petrified Forest
As a response to the COVID-19 crisis this initiative aims to maintain connections within the local community. With this in mind, the action was created aimed to stimulate and engage young children by learning more about their local natural heritage.
The initiative includes several educational and creative activities aimed at children. These are downloaded from the Natural History Museum of the Lesvos Petrified Forest website. Children are encouraged to play games, draw, solve puzzles, take quizzes, and most importantly, discover and learn of the remarkable secrets of the local natural heritage and our planet. The various activities can be either used for educational purposes in a classroom or at home together with the whole family.
Activate children with entertaining tools to encourage learning through play. On Lesvos, this has also been a way to establish a greater knowledge of own heritage.
