Building engineer and PhD in Places and times of the city and territory, Elisa Conticelli is Junior assistant professor of Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Bologna (UNIBO). She has 14 years research experience in sustainable planning and regeneration. Her main research topics are related with urban and spatial planning techniques and diagnostic processes for boosting urban and rural regeneration towards a sustainable growth.

Member of research groups in several EU funded projects (RURITAGE H2020 project, MATCH-UP INTERREG EUROPE project, SPN ERA-NET JPI Urban Europe project) and in many regional/local Research Projects. She is member of the Board of Director of the Emilia-Romagna section of the Italian National Urban Planning Institute – INU and member of the main Italian Urban Planning associations (INU, CENSU). Author of over 50 publications.
