3 CFU
Module content
This module will focus on the concept of ecosystem services for sustainable planning.
The module will first introduce the ecosystem services framework with specific attention dedicated to present ecosystem-based planning approaches already implemented or under development for rural and urban sustainable development and transition.
The active role of cultural ecosystem services in the rural regeneration process will be deeply analysed providing instruments and tools to assess, protect and enhance them in rural areas. Case studies around Europe and beyond will used as a mean to better understand the current situation and to provide knowledge to transfer them to other rural communities.
