Sixteenth Coordination Meeting on International Migration

In preparation of the ‘Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration’, the Population Division of the Department of Economics and Social Affairs organized the “Sixteenth Snnual Coordination Meeting on International Migration” at the United Nations in New York. During this meeting the progress in monitoring the migration-related targets of the Sustainable Development Goals was reviewed and participants were allowed to present their recent activities and initiatives on migrations related subjects.

As one of the 6 Systemic Innovations Areas (SIAs) RURITAGE identified is migration, and 2 of the UNESCO Global GEOparks have migration as their main focus, RURITAGE was also present at the meeting to share how the RURITAGE project contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals.
