RURALIZATION Webinar – Impact of COVID-19 on young people in rural and urban areas

COVID-19 has strongly impacted both urban and rural areas. It is now important to understand the extend of these impacts, discuss positive and negative effects of the pandemic and differences between urban and rural areas, with a special focus on young people. For this, RURALIZATION, another Horizon 2020 project dedicated to the regeneration of rual areas with 18 partners from 12 countries around Europe, is holding a webinar on the issue.

The webinar, that will take place tomorrow September 15th, will also share resilience stories from young people from both areas. In the webinar, RURITAGE will participate with the presence of UNIBO who will present Thinking beyond the COVID-19 crisis: heritage-based opportunities for rural regeneration, based on the initiatives that the project colected during spring and the recently publised Vision paper, and with the Role Model PIAM who wil present their COVID-19 action targeting migrants integration. Other projects such as Newbie, European youth associations such as Rural Youth Europe and the European Youth Forum and representatives from the European Commission will also be present.
