Collection of actions to strengthen local resilience

On the 9th of April, the RURITAGE project initiated an open call for actions of resilience intended to increase and strengthen rural communities during the current global pandemic crisis. These are now being collected at least until the 4th of May

Together with all participants, we intend to co-build a collection of actions from all rural contexts related to our main areas of work that encompass sustainability, cultural and natural heritage, and our main innovation areas – local food, migration, arts and festival, landscape management and pilgrimage. Read more about the call and how to participate here.

All incoming actions will be assessed on the basis of their relevance to the overall theme and focus of RURITAGE as well as their impact and replicability potential. Actions will be published gradually on the Resilience Action page dedicated to the call. Before publishing an action, we will inform and agree on the content together with the proponent. Through our social media pages, we will provide a weekly update summarising the main focus of the latest published resilience actions.

Relevant actions will be used in a final report on solutions and initiatives for enhancing resilience in rural communities across Europe and all around the globe. Jointly, the actions will build a collection of practices to further strengthen local solidarity, sense of community, and business continuity beyond the pandemic.

Help us in making this moment of challenge a moment to enhance resilience in rural areas through solidarity, innovation, and creativity.
